The team's goal, as stated in their official announcement, is to "put a Norwegian team at the top of the Counter Strike global rankings". According to a translation by hltv.org of an interview with Team Captain Morten "zEVES" Vollan, the organization is paying salaries and helping with sending them to events, which will allow them to focus more heavily on improving their play. This is thanks at least in part to an investor.
Norse will have a long way to go to the top. Their experience as Deadweight is confined almost exclusively to open qualifiers. They made it through to the European preliminary rounds of ELEAGUE, but lost to GODSENT in the Round of 16.
The full roster for Norse is:
- Martin "cENTRYZ" Johannessen Brandal
- Jørgen "cromen" Robertsen
- Henrik "becker" Becker
- Jon "ztk" Erik Øygarden
- Morten "zEVES" Vollan
