Tomáš "oskar" Šťastný has been removed from mousesports' starting roster for unspecified personal reasons, and Johannes "nex" Maget will temporarily play in his stead, according to a statement given to theScore esports from mouz' press director Jan Dominicus Tuesday.

"We will bench oskar for our Pro League match today vs. [] and probably for the remainder of the season, due to private matters for oskar who can’t focus on the game at the moment," Dominicus said. "The team had a great start to the season with oskar and he will be missed, but we totally understand and wish him all the best and hope he can get back to playing CS:GO soon."

The team currently stand with a strong 10-6 record in ESL Pro League Europe, though they are currently outside of the Top 6 ranking needed to qualify for the EPL finals in São Paulo. With five matches remaining in the season, they are still very much in the running.

oskar was brought on to replace nex on Aug. 22, though the trade was reported by ESPN as far back as June 27.

It's currently unknown how long oskar will be benched, but mouz have upcoming matches in ELEAGUE Season 2 on Oct. 21-22 and IEM XI Oakland Nov. 19-20.

mousesports' roster for the time being looks as follows:

  • Chris "chrisJ" De Jong
  • Denis "denis" Howell
  • Nikola "NiKo" Kovač
  • Timo "Spiidi" Richter
  • Johannes "nex" Maget
  • Sergey "lmbt" Bezhanov (Coach)
