Luis "peacemaker" Tadeu has parted ways with Team Liquid, according to a post on the team's Facebook page. peacemaker is a former pro player who made the switch to coaching in 2015 and has been with Liquid since May.

"Despite our successful competitive history, we’ve had to push through a lot of challenges," said Team Liquid Co-CEO Victor “Nazgul” Goossens. "Over the past half year, we have had a couple of fundamental philosophical differences on the principles of doing business, to the extent that we felt the relationship would no longer work in a way that would be fruitful for both parties. We have therefore come to the conclusion that the best course of action for both parties is to part ways. We have always appreciated Luis’ work, and this goes beyond what he brings to the team with his strategic knowledge."

Team Liquid’s statement went on to say that peacemaker and the organization had differences in relation to their business principles, and that both sides felt that parting ways was the best solution. peacemaker echoed Team Liquid’s statement in a Twitlonger he released shortly after the news was made public

“Team Liquid [and I] decided to part ways due to a few disagreements about business principles and as such I will be exploring other opportunities,” peacemaker wrote. “I am super proud of all the players/staff/management I had a chance to work with and I have nothing else than the absolute full respect for all of them because of their commitment and dedication. Without everyone buying into this project and working hard, none of what we accomplished would have been possible.”

Liquid’s now-former coach went on to thank the members of Team Liquid’s CS:GO roster for their journey together as a team.

“While I was here, I had the most special, most important moments and biggest results of my CSGO career,” his Twitlonger read. “We may have had our differences but in the end we all knew that all what really matters is winning as a team.”

peacemaker joined Team Liquid as their head coach in May. While he served as the team’s head coach, Team Liquid placed second at ESL One: Cologne in July and 3-4th at ESL One: New York earlier this month.

It is unknown at this time where peacemaker will go next, though he wrote in his Twitlonger that he is not done with his CS:GO career and “[looks] forward to continue coaching in the near future.”

Until Team Liquid find a replacement for peacemaker, the team’s manager Steve “Joka” Perino will be filling in as the head coach for the upcoming ESL Pro League Season 4 Finals in Brazil, which take place Oct. 26-30.
