Team Spirit's Pavel "COLDY" Veklenko has run into visa issues for The ELEAGUE Major 2017 offline qualifier and the team will use their coach Nick "Certus" Poluyanov as a stand in, the team told theScore esports on Tuesday.

"COLDY's visa was denied indeed and Certus (our coach) will have to play for our team during the event," Nikita "Cheshir" Chukalin, the team's Chief Operating Officer, said. "The reason for denial was not announced."

The five players and coach of Spirit have been on and off teammates as part of Arcade eSports, Team Phenomenon and the controversial esports organization Team YP.

Additionally, Spirit players Dmitriy "Dima" Bandurka, Vadim "DavCost" Vasilyev and Anton "kibaken" Kolesnikov also played on Worst Players alongside famed Ukrainian star, Oleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev, though that team did not find much success.

Spirit qualified for the Major qualifier by placing second in the CIS Minor Championship, where they lost to Vega Squadron, formerly ALL-IN, 2-0 in the Grand Finals.
