Joakim "jkaem" Myrbostad has left FaZe Clan, the rifler announced Tuesday.

In a TwitLonger, jkaem explained that he had been in a slump and that stepping down to allow Fabien "kioShiMa" Fiey to return to the starting roster was the right move.

"The boys have been performing better and better and I have no issues with the players or the org," he wrote. "I'm actually happy on their behalf. They've been working hard to get ahead."

jkaem did not immediately confirm what he would do in the future, noting that he had received some offers but was going to stream while he thought about his options.

jkaem moved to the backup position on Nov. 9, as kioShiMa returned to the starting lineup. The change happened partway through the team's participation in ELEAGUE Season 2, but after the team had played all their group stage matches. The team went 2-1 in Group A with wins against Immortals and Cloud 9 and a loss to mousesports. When the team started their playoff games at that same event at the beginning of December, Jkaem had already been moved to the bench.
