Counter Logic Gaming have signed Pujan "FNS" Mehta following the Jan. 1 departure of their previous in-game leader, James "hazed" Cobb. The team's announcement confirms a Jan. 10 report from Slingshot Esports' Jarek "DeKay" Lewis.

"In our discussions he understood the idea of modeling behavior and what it means to lead as an example," CLG esports director Matt Nausha said in a statement.

"I will always invest in hard working people and believe they have a much higher performance ceiling than someone who is not willing to challenge themselves. FNS is a leader that the team needs to help facilitate direction and structure for future success."

While FNS played for Team SoloMid for the entirety of 2016, the 24-year-old Canadian previously played for CLG in 2015, winning Northern Arena 2015 and CEVO Professional Season 6 while with the team.

His time with TSM was less successful, with the team failing to qualify for MLG Major Championship: Columbus, ESL One: Cologne or ELEAGUE Season 2 after finishing 17-22nd in Season 1.

"I'm very happy to be back on CLG," FNS said in a statement. "I know, with time, I can help make this team more dangerous than it was with our original roster. I have full confidence in every player on my team and I love how hungry they are to improve. That makes me genuinely want to give it everything I have to help us become a top tier team."
