On June 16, ELEAGUE Major Grand Finalists Astralis and Virtus.pro will be going head to head in a long-awaited rematch. The ELEAGUE one-off, dubbed Clash for Cash, comes with a $250,000 prize purse for the winner.
Curious about how these two titans stack up? theScore esports has put together this handy fight card compiling some pertinent stats from each team's LAN performances in 2017.
When the two clashed in the ELEAGUE Major Grand Finals back in January, Astralis defeated VP 2-1, taking Overpass and Train 16-14 while VP won Nuke 16-12.
Astralis have a strong Overpass game, winning the map all five times they played it offline in 2017. VP on the other hand have a 50 percent win rate on it over akk.
When the two met offline again at the semifinals of DreamHack Masters Las Vegas 2017, VP were able to defeat their Danish counterparts and go on to take the tournament.
At the most recent LAN tournament the two teams both attended, the SL i-League StarSeries Season 3 Finals, Virtus.pro were knocked out 12-14th while Astralis came in second.
Nonetheless, with almost equal win/loss records and K/D ratios, there's no doubt that the Clash for Cash is anyone's game.
