Luis "Peacemaker" Tadeu has officially joined Heroic as the team's interim coach.
"Needless to say, I am very happy we have Luis on board the Heroic team as an interim coach," RFRSH sports director Kasper Hvidt said in a statement. "He brings a lot experience, he is very thorough, enthusiastic and really hardworking and those are skills we’re always looking for. I look forward to working with Luis and I know the players do too."
Formerly Team Liquid's head coach, Peacemaker coached Liquid during their history-making second place finish at the ESL One Cologne Major in 2016 but has bounced around a number of teams in the past year.
The 29-year-old Brazilian has served brief stints with NRG, Misfits, OpTic Gaming and most recently TyLoo since leaving Liquid last October.
"Today I can say that I am a much more experienced Coach in a lot of aspects and with all the tools available to me and the team, together with the potential in this roster, I can only see great things ahead of us," Peacemaker said in s statement. "One thing is for sure; we will work really hard as a team to meet and exceed everybody’s expectations."
The team's previous coach Henrik "FeTiSh" Christensen stepped down from his position on Oct. 24 citing personal reasons. The team has suffered a number of disappointments in the past few months, falling in the quarterfinals of the 2017 ELEAGUE CS:GO Premier and failing to qualify for either the European Minor or WESG 2017.
