Cloud9 defeated FaZe Clan in double-overtime to become the ELEAGUE Boston Major champions on Sunday. C9 entered the tournament as the fifth overall seed and had to beat favorites FaZe, SK Gaming and G2 Esports to win the title and $500,000.

Entering the finals as the favorite, FaZe took C9's map pick of Mirage 16-14, then lost their own pick of Overpass 16-10. FaZe were up 15-11 on the final map of Inferno before C9 started their comeback in front of a screaming hometown Boston crowd. After two overtimes that saw the FaZe and C9 trading blows back and forth, the American underdogs emerged victorious.

The finals broke the all-time single channel streaming record on Twitch, with 1,130,000 concurrent viewers.
