Astralis have added Emil "Magisk" Reif to their roster, the team announced Wednesday. He will fill the hole left by Markus "Kjaerbye" Kjaerbye, who left for North last week.

Magisk transferred to Astralis from OpTic Gaming.

Astralis' coach Danny "Zonic" Sørensen has followed Magisk for a while and said that he is looking forward to the addition.

"Emil is one of the most talented players in the world, said Zonic. "Fortunately for us, he’s never really gotten the credit, but combined with his style of play, his personality and the motivation he has shown to play for Astralis it’s close to a perfect match."

Astralis had high hopes headed into the ELEAGUE Boston Major, with the return of Nicolai "Dev1ce" Reedtz to the lineup earning them a top ranking before the tournament. They fell short of expectation however, failing to make it to the Top 8 of the event.
