Report: Team Envy looking to sign karrigan to long-term roster

Team Envy is looking to add Finn "karrigan" Andersen to their permanent roster according to a report from Dexerto's Jarek “DeKay” Lewis.

karrigan was on loan from FaZe Clan, playing with Envy through the Americas Minor, who finished third. DeKay, citing multiple unnamed sources, reports the buyout for the Dane at $150,000.

Envy held onto an ESL Pro League slot during Season 8 regulation, qualifying for Season 9 of ESL Pro League.

G2 Esports secures $17.3 million in latest round of investing

G2 Esports recently announced a multi-million-dollar investment round led by NYC investors Seal Rock Partners, Parkwood Corporation and Everblue Management.

According to a press release the funding will be used to “to accelerate global expansion, fund franchise fees, and continue to invest in world-class business and content operations.”

This latest investment round brings G2’s funding to over $24.6M to date, according to Forbes.

ESL confirms $1 million prize for Intel Grand Slam season 2

ESL recently confirmed that the first team to win four of 10 Intel Grand Slam-eligible tournaments hosted by ESL and DreamHack will win a million dollar prize pool.

The $100,000 Giant Killer Bonus returns as well, awarded to any team that stops an opponent from picking up a fourth IGS grand final win.

The first 10 competitors for Mortal Kombat 11 Summit of Time event are announced

Event organizer Beyond the Summit, has announced the first 10 competitors for its upcoming Mortal Kombat Summit of Time event and to the surprise of no one, Dominique “SonicFox” McLean is one of them.

The rest of the roster includes DJT, HoneyBee, Tyrant, ForeverKing, Dragon, Foxy Grampa, Hayatei, Scar and Tekken Master.

The other six competitors will be voted in by the Mortal Kombat community.
