Echo Fox and Riot Games release statements on racist abuse allegations

Both Riot Games and Echo Fox have released statements in response to Dexerto writer Richard Lewis' report that co-owner Rick Fox plans to cut ties with the organization after racist epithets were allegedly directed towards former Echo Fox CEO, Jace Hall.

Posted to the organization's Twitter account, Echo Fox emphasises that "Racial intolerance connected to Echo Fox is entirely unacceptable," and that the person who used the racial slurs is a "Limited partner of the Echo Fox organization," and not an employee, officer or director of the organization.

The statement goes on to confirm that at least some of the allegations in Richard Lewis' original report are true.

Additionally, LCS Commissioner Chris Greely tweeted a statement from the lolesports account stating that "We are aware of recent allegations of a team owner using offensive and discriminatory language," and that the "alleged comments are contrary to our values and have no place in our league."

Additionally, Greely went on to say that they have "Launched an investigation into the allegations and will respond accordingly, based on available actions within our team agreements and the LCS rules."

Astralis' Inferno win streak comes to an end

Astralis' historic Inferno streak came to an end on Friday as they lost the map but ultimately beat BIG to win the match and claim the first seed in group D of ESL Pro League Season 9 Europe.

Props to BIG are certainly deserved for putting up a fight and holding Astralis to 19 LAN wins on the map, but the Danes still hold an unbroken record on Nuke.
