Several mixed results in the last few months have forced Team Dignitas to make a huge change to their roster, acquiring the services of Swedish sharpshooter, Andreas "schneider" Lindberg to replace Nicolaj "Nico" Jensen in the lineup.
The Danish lineup's struggles became evident when they failed to qualify for ESL One: Cologne, failing to close out FlipSid3 Tactics in the Lower Bracket finals. Their struggles continued into the Acer Predator Masters where they fell to E-frag.net and HellRaisers to finish fourth overall in the tournament.
"It's with mixed feelings we have to announce that Nico is no longer a part of Team Dignitas CS:GO division," said Jacob "Pimp" Winneche in their official press release. "We felt that removing him [Nico] from our active lineup was one of the drastic moves we had to make in order to re-adjust ourselves and once again be a team you can count on in the very top of CS:GO."
The all Danish lineup will definitely have to 're-adjust' as schneider's acquisition means that they will be playing with someone who does not speak fluent Danish.
"The hard part will be the communication," said schneider. "None can say for sure how long it will take until we have proper communication, as I feel like I understand 60-70% of their Danish, but it will only grow better with time and with that the team will only grow stronger and stronger."
The full Team Dignitas lineup is as follows:
- Markus "Kjaerbye" Kjærbye
- Philip "aizy" Aistrup
- Jacob "Pimp" Winneche
- Mathias "MSL" Lauridsen
- Andreas "schneider" Lindberg
