Splyce's CS:GO lineup and the organization parted ways.
With the team losing its sponsorship, the players on the lineup decided to go their separate ways.
"Unfortunately, like many other games, CS is still a game where qualification in the main Pro league matters a lot to the health of the team," said Splyce's CEO Marty Strenczewilk in a statement given to HLTV.org. "Despite having such awesome success in many of the events we played in, we unfortunately didn't qualify for ESEA Pro during relegations."
This isn't the first time a team has decided to disband over an ESL ESEA Pro League spot, as Denial eSports' CS:GO roster disbanded just about a day after their relegation match against Winterfox.
The former Splyce lineup was as follows:
- Alec "Slemmy" White
- Peter "ptr" Gurney
- Adam "aKis" Kisseberth
- Steven "rooRoo" Herrell
- Jakey "Stewie2k" Yip
