Lounge, mouz qualify for DreamHack Masters Malmö in back-to-back upsets

Lounge Gaming and mousesports have both secured berths at the DreamHack Masters Malmö 2016 LAN Finals. Though neither team was favored in their final matchup, Lounge took down FlipSid3 Tactics and mousesports defeated G2 Esports to take the Top 2 spots at EU Qualifier #1.

Only two slots are left at the tournament, which will be handed out to the winners of the second EU Qualifier, set for March 20.

So far, the following teams are set to attend the main event:

mouz had a relatively easy time fighting through their first matchups of the Qualifier, sweeping both Chosen5 and noKappa. They had more trouble against G2, who secured the first map, Inferno, 19-16. The rest of the series was just as close, but mouz turned things around on Dust II and Cache, winning 16-14 and 16-13 respectively.

Lounge Gaming had a clean sweep through the entire qualifier — and not just through any teams. They took down both FlipSid3 Tactics and Team Dignitas, the fifteenth and sixth ranked teams in the world according to

The DreamHack Masters Malmö 2016 LAN Finals will take place on April 12-17, in the Malmö Arena in Malmö, Sweden. It will feature $250,000 prize pool.
