Ladislav "GuardiaN" Kovács has been cleared by Natus Vincere's medical team and will start in the Playoffs at DreamHack Masters Malmö, according to DreamHack Thursday.

GuardiaN’s ability to play was put into question shortly after the conclusion of MLG Major Championship: Columbus; his wrist injury was known during the event as well.

Na`Vi announced that GuardiaN would play, on April 5, but went back on that decision two days later. They announced that the team’s coach, starix, would stand in for the team.

Despite fielding only four players from their primary roster, the team made a relatively clean run through the Group Stage by taking down GODSENT and Counter Logic Gaming.

Against all expectations, starix was one of Na`Vi’s top performers, he was the highest rated player in the match against GODSENT, with an HLTV rating of 1.52. And he currently has the third most AWP kills per round, 0.44, according to HLTV.

It’s currently unknown which team Natus Vincere will be facing first in DreamHack Masters Malmö’s Playoffs, but they will kick off on April 16.
