After receiving a late invite to DreamHack Austin, Splyce have announced that Ryan "fREAKAZOiD" Abadir will be standing in for Abraham "abE" Fazli, whose previously arranged vacation plans mean he is unable to attend.

fREAKAZOiD has yet to find a new team after being removed from Cloud9's starting roster earlier this month. He remains on contract with the organization through the beginning of 2017, but Cloud9 are fielding offers from other teams.

Splyce fell out of the DreamHack Austin qualifiers in the Round of 8 after a 2-1 loss to Selfless Gaming, but when several European teams declined their invites, DreamHack invited more North American teams "based on results from the North American qualifier as well as current rank and past results."

Splyce successfully qualified for the MLG Major Championship: Columbus after beating CLG and Vexed, but lost to both Fnatic and FaZe in the group stage, ending their run in 13th-16th place.
