OpTic Gaming, Tempo Storm claim final spots in ESL One: Cologne Qualifier

OpTic Gaming and Tempo Storm have taken first and second place at MLG Americas Minor Championship respectively, earning them spots in the upcoming ESL One: Cologne Qualifier.

Tempo Storm and OpTic Gaming both took first place in their respective groups. Though Selfless Gaming placed second behind OpTic in Group B, they were beaten 2-0 by Tempo Storm in the semifinals before being eliminated by Team SoloMid in the first round of the loser's bracket.

OpTic Gaming defeated Tempo Storm in the Winners' Finals, but the Brazilians bounced back in the Losers' Finals with a 2-0 win against Team SoloMid that secured their place against OpTic in the Grand Finals.

Both teams will now be proceeding to the qualifier, along with the winners and runner-ups from the Asian Minor, the CIS Minor, the Europe Minor, and the bottom eight teams from MLG Columbus. The Top 8 teams from MLG Columbus will skip the qualifier and be seated into ESL One: Cologne.

The ESL One: Cologne Qualifier will take place from June 9-12 in Katowice, Poland.
