Splyce has dropped Abraham "abE" Fazli and Andrew "Professor_Chaos" Heintz from their CS:GO roster, the organization announced Friday.
Both players joined Splyce when most of the current roster was signed as DOGMEN. Prior to that, Professor_Chaos played for eLevate and SapphireKelownaDotCom, and abE played for Mythic and NetcodeGuides.com.
While with the roster, the team placed second at the Americas Minor Championship Columbus, but got a spot at the MLG Columbus Major Offline Qualifier after The MongolZ withdrew due to visa issues. Splyce managed to place in the Top 4 at the offline qualifier, earning them a spot at the Major, where they placed 13th-16th with an 0-2 record in their group.
In their press release, Splyce stated that the organization feels the team could not find more success with the current roster, and is currently looking for two new players.
"Despite our Cinderella run to the first North American major, the team agreed that the existing lineup hit a glass ceiling, keeping us from reaching the next tier of success in CS:GO," a spokesperson for the organization said in the press release. "The roster openings will allow us to try out potential players for the fall season."
