Xu "Zhilei" BurNIng has left Vici Gaming, according to Valve's team registration website.
BurNIng joined VG in the aftermath of The International 2015, departing Invictus Gaming to do so. With BurNIng's help, VG played well in late 2015, placing second at the Nanyang Dota 2 Championships, third place at The Summit 4 and finishing in the Top 6 at The Frankfurt Major.
Yet like most Chinese teams, VG completely collapsed at The Shanghai Major, losing to Virtus.pro in the first round of the Lower Bracket. In the roster shuffle afterwards, BurNIng was the only member of VG to remain on the team, and subsequently became the team's new position 4 support with the addition of Liu "Sylar" Jiajun to the carry role.
Despite the new additions, VG would go on to fail to qualify for any international LAN, with sister team Vici Gaming Reborn advancing further and achieving better results. This came to a head at The International 2016 China Qualifiers, where VG.R defeated VG 2-1 in the Losers' Finals, just one step away from qualification to TI6.
Vici Gaming's roster is now as follows:
- Liu "Sylar" Jiajun
- Chen "Cty" Tianyu
- Bai "rOtk" Fan
- Xu "Hym" Zhi
