With a 2-0 win over Vega Squadron, Team Secret have won the FACEIT Invitational and the $10,000 grand prize.

The tournament began on Oct. 17 with eight teams in the quarterfinals β€” OG, Team Liquid, Alliance, Team Empire, Escape Gaming and Ad Finem. Team Secret defeated Escape Gaming in the quarters and Team Empire in the semifinals, both best-of-one matches, while Vega Squadron went through Ad Finem in the quarters and Team Liquid in the semis.

The triumph is the first for the latest Team Secret roster, which added former MVP Phoenix players Pyo "MP" No-a and Lee "Forev" Sang-don, as well as star Fnatic mid laner Zheng "MidOne" Yeik Nai in the post-TI6 shuffle.

It also comes at an important moment for the organization, which has faced a slew of accusations from former members Jacky "EternaLEnVy" Mao and Rasmus "MiSeRy" Filipsen. The players have alleged that the org delayed payments and took 10 percent of their winnings contrary to a verbal agreement. They also charged that team captain and founding member Clement "Puppey" Ivanov was toxic to his team members.

The org tacitly addressed the accusations in a update posted Tuesday, saying they are "determined to provide [their] players with the care and support they deserve, whilst enabling them to share in the financial rewards from participating in some of the world's largest tournaments and there’s obviously a cost in providing that support."

Puppey also responded to the allegations against him in a TwitLonger, saying "I'm not that person described and that's good enough for me."
