Akbar "SoNNeikO" Butaev has re-joined Natus Vincere's Dota team, taking Roman "rmN-" Paley's place on the roster, the organization announced Thursday.

SoNNeikO left Na`Vi in November after the organization rebuilt their roster around Danil "Dendi" Ishutin and Victor "GeneRaL" Nigrini. The organization then failed to qualify for the Kiev Major and DAC 2017. The organization is now bringing SoNNeikO back on to the roster, and says they are focusing on qualifying for EPICENTER 2017 and The Summit 7.

"We are perfectly aware of Akbar’s potential and we just couldn’t lose the opportunity to work with him again," Na`Vi CEO Yevhen "HarisPilton" Zolotarov said in a press release. "I want to thank Roman for the work he’s done. You are a great player and awesome person. I know you’ll do great. Continue growing as a pro and believe in yourself."

After leaving Na`Vi, SoNNeikO played for Vega Squadron, though did not see much success with the organization, placing 5th-10th at the Kiev Major CIS qualifier, 4th at the DAC 2017 CIS qualifier and 7th in the StarLadder i-League StarSeries Season 3 qualifier.

SoNNeikO's first match with Na`Vi will be at the SL i-League Invitational tournament being held on April 21.
