Cloud9 has dropped their current Dota 2 team just over a month after signing a new roster to the organization.

The organization removed their Dota 2 team from the list of teams on their website. While no official announcement has been made, Cloud9's CEO Jack Etienne confirmed in a Reddit comment that the organization has parted ways with the roster.

"It was an honor to work with the boys again be apart of TI7," Etienne said in the comment. "I loved all the support and memes along the way, this is not the end for Cloud9 DOTA."

The organization originally signed Team NP on July 20, just a few weeks before the start of The International 2017. At TI7, C9 finished the group stage with a 6-10 record, before finishing 13th-16th in the main event. While playing under the banner of Team NP, the team placed third at The Manila Masters, second at ZOTAC Cup Masters, and fourth at DOTA Summit 7.

Cloud9's roster at the time of disbandment was as follows:

  • Jacky "EternaLEnvy" Mao
  • Adrian "FATA-" Trinks
  • Arif "MSS" Anwar
  • Kurtis "Aui_2000" Ling
  • Johan "pieliedie" Åström
