Galaxy Battles II: Emering Worlds will no longer be a Dota 2 Pro Circuit event, Valve announced Thursday.

In a blog post, Valve explained that the tournament's Major status was rescinded due to "unreasonable infringements on the privacy of the players, as a condition to enter the country." It is unclear exactly what these infringements entail. The tournament is being held in Manila, The Phillipines.

According to Valve's post, the tournament is still able to proceed as planned, but will not give out any DPC points, and Valve is in talks with the tournament organizers to run a Major with the invited and qualified teams later this year in order to distributed the DPC points.

Galaxy Battles was scheduled to start on Jan. 15, and was going to be the first Dota 2 Major of the year. Galaxy Battles have yet to make a statement regarding their tournament's status.
