LGD Gaming will replace Fnatic at the Nanyang Championships Season 2 LAN Finals, according to GosuGamers.

In a statement to GosuGamers, Fnatic's team manager Eric Khor said that the team would not be able to compete at Nanyang Championships Season 2 due to issues with Djardel "Dj" Mampusti's passport.

"I would like to thank the organizers for direct inviting us to Nanyang Championship," Eric Khor said. "While we are very excited to go to the tournament, I am sad to announce that we will be unable to compete in it due to unavoidable visa issues. I would like to apologize to the organizers and our fans who are eager to see us compete. I hope everybody will still enjoy the tournament!"

Fnatic were one of the four teams to receive a direct invite to the tournament, alongside Newbee, Team Secret and Evil Geniuses. Team Empire, Digital Chaos and WarriorsGaming.Unity would later secure their place at the event through qualifiers. The Chinese Qualifier spot has yet to be decided.

Despite missing out on the Nanyang Championships, Fnatic will still have a busy July. Fnatic will next play at The Summit 5 from July 13-17, following that up with an appearance at the StarLadder i-League StarSeries Season 2. Most recently, Fnatic secured a place at The International 6 with a 3-1 victory over Execration in the Grand Finals of the Southeast Asia Regional Qualifiers.
