Southeast Asian regional qualifier teams TnC Pro Team and Execration have struggled to have their visa applications for The International 6 approved, but their latest effort has been successful and both teams will travel to Seattle in time to compete in the year's biggest Dota 2 tournament.

The teams had previously tried to apply for B-1/B-2 visas, but the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services told them that they needed to apply for P-1, for which the application process can take months.

Luckily for Southeast Asian Dota fans, a few senators from both countries stepped in to help. TnC's statement thanks Senators Bam Aquino and Sonny Angara of the Philippines and U.S Senator Maria Cantwell for their help in acquiring their visas. Cantwell helped Na`Vi and Vega Squadron secure Akbar "SoNNeikO" Butaev and Semion "CemaTheSlayer" Krivulya's visas last year ahead of The International 5.

Execration will be travelling to Seattle just in time for the Wild Card matches, which take place on Aug. 2. The Filipino squad will face EHOME, compLexity and Escape Gaming in an attempt to win one of two final slots at TI6's main event.

TnC can rest a bit easier, having directly qualified for the main event. Their 7-2 record in the regional qualifier group stage put them in a three way tie with Fnatic and Execration, but after winning both of their tiebreaker games they took the first SEA qualification spot. Groups for TI6 run Aug. 3-5 but the breakdown of teams has not been revealed yet.

The International 6 main event will run Aug. 8-13 at KeyArena in Seattle. The prize pool currently sits at $18.9 million, up from last year's 18.4 million.
