ESL has announced a new partnership with AEG, a sports and entertainment presentation company with a network which includes stadiums and other sports and entertainment venues around the world.
Among the venues in AEG's network are the Barclay's Center in Brooklyn, New York, the O2 in London. It also includes stadiums familiar to esports fans like The Mercedes Benz Arenas in Berlin and Shanghai (which hosted the 2015 League of Legends World Championship finals and The Shanghai Major in early 2016 respectively) and Key Arena in Seattle, home to The International for the past three years.
In ESL's announcement, Bob Newman, the president of AEG Facilities, promises fans "new events that will unite the community and celebrate players, teams and leagues."
