Counter Logic Gaming are guaranteed a spot at the 2016 League of Legends World Championship following Team SoloMid's victory over Cloud9 in the NA LCS Finals on Sunday.

Prior to the Finals, CLG secured 130 Circuit Points after their loss to Immortals in the third place match on Saturday. With Immortals and Cloud9 holding 120 and 100 points respectively, CLG advance to Worlds due to having the most points in the NA LCS.

Earlier today, H2k-Gaming qualified for Worlds based on points due to G2 Esports defeating Splyce 3-1 in the 2016 EU LCS Summer Finals. H2K ended their 2016 Season with 100 points, while Splyce finished with 90.

This marks CLG's fourth appearance at Worlds, following appearances in Season 1,2 and 5. This is also CLG's first appearance in the post-Doublelift era, after the team's longstanding AD carry joined TSM in October 2015.
