Team WE announced on Weibo SAturday that top laner, Peng "Aluka" Zhenming is now a free agent.

"Former Team WE League of Legends player, WE.Aluka's contract has expired, and both Aluka and the club agreed not to renew the terms, so Aluka has become a free agent. Aluka joined our League of Legends division in August of 2012, and we are really grateful to him for these four years helping Team WE. We wish him smooth sailing going forward!"

By sharing the post and making his own statement, Aluka confirmed the announcement. He thanked the team for training him and caring for him for so many years and wished them even better results in the future.

Aluka originally joined Team WE as part of their sister team, Team WE.i-Rocks, which later became Positive Energy. As a member of Positive Energy, Aluka appeared in two LPL finals and won the LPL title in 2013 Summer. After Positive Energy were relegated from the LPL at the end of 2014 Spring, Aluka returned as Team WE's primary top laner in 2015 LPL Spring.

With Aluka, Team WE didn't achieve great success in the LPL, but managed to place second at the Intel Extreme Masters World Championship in Katowice in 2015. At the start of 2016, rookie top laner Ke "957" Changyu joined WE, and Aluka officially became a substitute.

Recently, Aluka has played a great deal of Overwatch, and his high rank on the Chinese servers attracted the interest of Invictus Gaming's Overwatch division. He temporaril playedy in the online Bamboo Cup with iG.Ice, but iG lost their matches and Aluka was not officially signed.
