Bae "bengi" Seong-woong will be playing as SKTelecom T1's jungler in their upcoming quarterfinals match against Royal Never Give Up, according to

bengi will start instead of Kang “Blank” Sun-gu, who was the team's primary jungler in LoL Champions Korea Summer 2016, though SKT has fielded both junglers so far at the 2016 World Championship.

bengi was SKT's starting jungler in both of their past World Championship victories. He most recently substituted for Blank in their final group stage match against Taiwan's Flash Wolves, ending with a 1/1/14 score on Olaf. He also started in SKT's first Worlds match, with a strong 3/1/4 Elise performance.

"Between EDG and RNG, I think RNG are better for us, so we think it’s doable," bengi said in an interview after the quarterfinals draw. "The performance we saw in China from EDG was very notable, so they had a better showing in summer. And, I think that compared to EDG, they have less early game pressure, so that’s why I think it’s not bad."

SKT finished first in Group B with a 5-1 record while RNG finished second in Group D with a 3-3 record. This match will determine which team continues on to the semifinals.
