Joshua "Dardoch" Hartnett has left Team Liquid, the organization announced Wednesday.

"Next split is also going to be very exciting for me because I’ll be essentially getting a fresh start and I will no longer be playing under the Liquid organization," Dardoch said in an episode of Liquid LOL.

"It’s definitely going to be a culture shock for me, ‘cause I’ve pretty much grew up here. Like, I moved out when I was 17 to live in TL and I’ve been here ever since."

Prior to the announcement, ESPN’s Jacob Wolf reported that former Immortals jungler Yeu-jin "Reignover" Kim would be joining Liquid, though Team Liquid have not confirmed Wolf’s sources.

While Echo Fox announced in August that Dardoch would be joining their LoL team for 2017, because rosters were still locked at the time, they could not officially sign the 18-year-old player and it is unknown if Dardoch still intends to join them.

Dardoch has had difficulty with Team Liquid in the past, but things have been coming to a head since he was issued a two-week suspension in May for “insubordinate behavior,” with Dardoch tweeting that the team was trying to secure a transfer.

“I think it’s best for us and him for him to do that,” Liquid coach David "DLim" Lim said in the video. “Getting a change of scenery for him, getting a fresh start on a competitive team elsewhere will be best for his career.”

Dardoch ended the NA LCS 2016 summer season with a 3.5 KDA and 25.6 percent kill participation. Team Liquid was eliminated in the quarterfinals of the summer playoffs after a 3-1 loss to Counter Logic Gaming.
