eUnited have signed mid laner Hampus "Fox" Myhre, jungler Erberk "Gilius" Demir, support Tristan "Zeyzal" Stidam, top laner Eric "Licorice" Ritchie and AD Carry Matthew "Deftly" Chen to form the starting roster of their Challenger Series team.
When eUnited announced that they were purchasing Team Liquid Academy's NA CS spot at the end of November, they also brought on veteran LCS coaches Tadayoshi "Hermit" Littleton and Ram "Brokenshard" Djemal. The announcement said the organization would hold a scouting tournament followed by a Korean bootcamp.
Fox and Gilius have a long history together. They were both members of SK Gaming Prime in 2014, where they played in the EU Challenger Series. Gilius was eventually replaced on that roster, but the two would reunite on Unicorns of Love in November 2015.
Both were members of FC Schalke 04 for the 2016 EU LCS Summer Split. The team went 3-9-6, finishing eighth, and was ultimately relegated to the EU Challenger Series. Though Schalke plans to field a Challenger team in spring 2017, they are expected to announce a new roster following their scouting event in mid-October.
The other three members of eUnited's new roster were substitutes for Cloud9 Challenger, and played for C9 at the Logitech G Challenge earlier this month.
eUnited said in a tweet later on Thursday that they plan to bring Challenger player Bob "bobqinXD" Qin with the team to their Korean bootcamp.
