Misfits has signed Tristan "PowerOfEvil" Schrage as their starting mid laner for their first season in the EU LCS, pending Riot approval.

In their first player announcement since acquiring their spot in the 2017 EU LCS, Misfits announced via Facebook that PowerOfEvil will be replacing former Misfits mid laner Marcin "Selfie" Wolski.

PowerOfEvil boasts a strong record of success in the EU LCS. On Unicorns of Love, his innovative Kog'Maw and Orianna play helped secure the team a second and fourth place finish in the EU LCS during Season 5. During the 2016 season he transitioned to the six-man roster of Origen, replacing former mid laner xPeke, and took home a first place win at IEM San Jose.

PowerOfEvil now brings his experience and creativity to Misfits. The organization is confident that his consistency will help their League of Legends team "achieve its goals in 2017," the announcement said.

With the addition of PowerOfEvil, Misfits' roster now includes:

  • Barney "Alphari" Morris, top lane
  • Leon "Lamabear" Krüger, jungle
  • Tristan "PowerOfEvil" Schrage, mid lane
  • Steven "Hans sama" Liv, AD carry
  • Lee "IgNar" Dong-geun, support
  • Hicham "SozPurefect" Tazrhini, sub
  • Soler "Yuuki60" Florent, sub

Misfits also took the opportunity to recognize the contributions of former mid laner Selfie, who parted ways the team earlier this week. The statement say he was instrumental to their success in the Challenger Series and victory in the promotional tournament. Kim "Widsom" Tae-wan also left the team in November.
