NRG eSports' former Jungler Lucas "Santorin" Larsen has joined Gold Coin United's NA CS roster, according to a report from Dot Esports' Thiemo Bräutigam.

The news closely follows the announcement on Dec. 13 from Choi “Locodoco” Yoon-sub that he would be coaching the team. Should the report from Dot Esports be true, this would mark a reunion Locodoco and Santorin since they were on Team SoloMid.

After leaving TSM in December 2015, Santorin's career in 2016 was marred by a stint on Team HUMA, a team that was eventually banned from Riot-sanctioned leagues due to repeatedly failing to pay their players. Santorin also had a short stint on Ember, but the team failed to promote into the NA LCS during the 2016 Spring Season and shortly after released nearly all their players and later put their Challenger Seed on sale.

Santorin gained some stability after joining NRG esports for the NA LCS 2016 Summer Season, but fell into hard times as they placed in ninth place with a 4-14 record. NRG were forced into the 2017 Spring Promotion tournament, but didn't win a single game against Cloud9 Challenger or Echo Fox and were relegated from the NA LCS.

Santorin left NRG shortly after the team's relegation on Aug. 10 and the team recently sold their Challenger spot J2K Esports and Technology on Dec. 12 and formed Gold Coin United, which Santorin has now reportedly joined.

According to Dot Esports' report, the rest of Gold Coin United's roster will be announced in the next 24 hours.
