Fnatic Academy, Team Kinguin qualify for EU CS

Fnatic Academy and Team Kinguin have qualified for the 2017 EU CS Spring Split following back-to-back 3-0 wins for both teams during the qualifier.

Both Fnatic Academy and Kinguin entered the qualifier finals as the second seed from their respective groups, but trounced the top seeds from the opposite group. Kinguin defeated Nerv, while Fnatic Academy defeated Team Forge.

Both Fnatic Academy and Kinguin came to the tournament from the open qualifier. Team Kinguin took first place in the EU North East qualifier, while Fnatic Academy took third in the EU West qualifier.

Kinguin and Fnatic Academy will join FC Schalke 04, Millenium, Misfits Academy and Paris Saint-Germain in the upcoming Challenger split. Fnatic Academy will be able to play in the upcoming 2017 EU LCS Summer Promotion tournament, as this is the last split sister teams will be able to participate in Promotion in Europe.
