Cloud9 have signed former Team SoloMid jungler Dennis "Svenskeren" Johnsen to their 2018 starting roster.
"We’ve gone head-to-head against Svenskeren for a couple of years now and his skillset wasn’t lost on us," Cloud9 CEO Jack Etienne wrote in a press release. "He’s clearly brought a lot to TSM and the NA LCS and we’re eager to see what he puts together for us here at Cloud9."
Svenskeren comes to Cloud9 after spending two years on TSM. While with TSM he helped the team take first place in the 2017 NA LCS Summer and Spring Playoffs, and the 2016 NA LCS Summer Playoffs.
"After being on TSM for two years, I’ve grown a lot as a person and I will always be indebted to Andy for picking me up and for the incredible experiences I’ve had on the team," Svenskeren wrote in TSM's press release.
"I’m sad that I was not able to live up to the expectations of the team and the fans in the end as I lost a lot of confidence in myself. I hope to stay friends with everyone I met through TSM in the long future and I’m looking confident to return to my old form as I join my new team."
Svenskeren did not have a standout preformance during the summer regular season, finishing the season with a 3.2 KDA, tied for the fifth highest KDA of all junglers in NA. He also lead the league in death percentage, with a 26.5 percent share of TSM's total deaths.
Svenskeren will be replacing Juan "Contractz" Garcia on C9, and will be replaced by Mike "MikeYeung" Yeung on TSM.
