Nicolai "Jensen" Jensen has left Cloud9 for Team Liquid.

Cloud9 announced the transaction on Twitter Monday.

"I have nothing but respect and gratitude for Cloud9, after all they gave me the opportunity to meet my fans, you guys really keep me going," said Jensen, in a press release. "Cloud9 and I may be separating ways in the LCS, but one thing is certain, family really is forever."

Jensen was a member of Cloud9 since 2015, and was instrumental in the team's run from last place in the North American League Championship Series to the semifinals at this year's World Championship.

Team Liquid finished in first place during both the Spring and Summer splits in the NA LCS this year. That said, they had a disappointing run at Worlds where they didn't make it past the group stages.

There is no word yet as to whether or not Liquid's current mid laner Eugene "Pobelter" Park will be staying with the team.

Cloud9 published a tribute to Jensen's time with organization on their YouTube channel.
