Riot Games hires former Dropbox Chief Diversity Officer

Riot Games has hired former Dropbox head of diversity Angela Roseboro as their first Chief Diversity Officer.

Roseboro's hiring appears a clear response to the backlash Riot received after gaming website Kotaku published an investigation about their allegedly sexist workplace culture.

According to a Riot Games press release Roseboro will "Oversee all activity relating to diversity and inclusion (D&I), and will lead the creation of new programs to foster a more inclusive culture at Riot." Additionally, Roseboro will "lead the recruiting team in driving inclusivity in Riot’s hiring and talent sourcing processes."

Astralis, MIBR through to Katowice semifinals

The New Legends quarterfinals stage of the Katowice Major was full of surprises as a surging Na'Vi knocked off FaZe Clan 2-0 and ENCE upset Team Liquid 2-0 yesterday to end that tournament favourite's run.

On Friday, MIBR dashed Renegades' Cinderella dreams, beating them 2-0 on Dust 2 and Train while the last match of the day ended in predictable fashion, with Astralis knocking off NiP 2-0.

Astralis will meet MIBR in the semifinals, and ENCE will face-off against Na`Vi.
