Team Impulse mid laner Yu "XiaoWeiXiao" Xian has been suspended by Riot staff due to allegations of ELO boosting.

Hunter Leigh, Riot Games' Associate eSports Manager, said that XiaoWeiXiao admitted to Riot staff that he had been involved in "misconduct" and as a result has been suspended pending an investigation.

Rumors about XiaoWeiXiao's alleged ELO Boosting were discussed in a Reddit post Tuesday. In the post, screenshots of a conversation in Chinese were posted and a rough translation was provided in which XiaoWeiXiao allegedly discusses payment.

At this time there is no word on the duration of XiaoWeiXiao's suspension.

Team Impulse's general manager Alex Gu said that a statement from the team would be released later today.

This is the second sudden roster change to hit Team Impulse in the span of a week, with support player Adrian "Adrian" Ma announcing he would be stepping down from the team's starting roster last Saturday.

On Riot's official LoL eSports, Austin "Gate" Yu is currently listed as the starting mid laner while Adrian is back in the support position. Gate was added to the team on July 17th to compete for the starting support role, and played in TiP's game against Team Dragon Knights last Sunday.

Team Impulse currently sit in a three-way tie for second with an 11-5 record and is currently riding a six game winning streak.
