From minute one, it was the ZionSpartan show.

Taking an early lead and never letting it go, Counter Logic Gaming smashed Team 8 to put themselves half a game ahead in the race for first place.

First Blood dropped even before the minions spawned, when Zion Spartan caught CaliTrolz8 in the river and forced his Flash. Wrapping around behind the tower, one final axe toss from Zion send CaliTrolz8 back to the Fountain in a box and gave Counter Logic Gaming the very early head start.

Team 8 got on the board with a tower dive kill onto Zion, but CLG continued to pull ahead with multiple dragons and another kill of their own. Heading towards the 20 minute mark of the match, CLG's farm leads had developed into a modest 4k gold advantage.

Grouping together, CLG tried to push the Tier 2 mid only to find Team 8 in position to defend. The fight was scattered, but CLG rallied and walked away with an even two-for-two trade.

ZionSpartan was quickly becoming a complete menace, able to run down and destroy the carries of Team 8 in every fight. Building their lead to an insurmountable degree, CLG found multiple team fight wins in a row. Cleaning up a four-for-one skirmish in the mid lane, nothing could stop CLG from taking Baron.

With the Baron buff in hand CLG didn't give Team 8 a single second to breathe, charging into the base and putting an end to the match in convincing fashion.
