"The Team Liquid staff has been questioning my performance as of late," Alex "Xpecial" Chu said in a vlog update on the TeamLiquidPRO YouTube account. The Team Liquid Support player also revealed that he has been benched.

According to Xpecial, Chae "Piglet" Gwang-jin, Team Liquid's current AD Carry, thinks that he "isn't good anymore and he wants a new support." Team Liquid did shop around for new AD Carries in case they decided to keep Xpecial instead of Piglet. But it was ultimately decided that Xpecial would be benched while Team Liquid look for a replacement.

"We looked at a couple of options, but we really couldn't find someone compatible," Xpecial said. "And they decided that it would be better to take Piglet and a new support, rather than take myself and a new AD Carry."

"Piglet just doesn't like me."

Xpecial touched on the leaked conversation from fellow teammate, Christian "IWillDominate" Rivera, which Richard Lewis revealed on his stream. In the conversation, IWillDominate stated that he had control of the team and that he was benching Xpecial. But Xpecial says that there's more to the story.

"I know for a fact that Dom was one of the few players that had my back the whole time," Xpecial said. "That conversation he had regarding the roster stuff was to an old friend of his and it was after the decision was already made. This isn't Dom going behind my back or anything."

IWillDominate has also posted on TwitLonger regarding the leaked conversation. The Team Liquid Jungler confirmed that the conversation was real, but mirrors Xpecial's sentiments in that it was taken out of context.

"I was bullshitting to my friend about how I do have control of the changes that we make with the roster (Internally when we were discussing the changes I favored Xpecial's side and argued to have him on the team)," IWillDominate said. "This private conversation between myself and my friend took place after the decision had been finalized and there was no way that I could have affected the outcome."

Despite not making it to Worlds for the second time and dealing with all the drama behind being benched, Xpecial has redoubled his efforts as a player.

"After taking a little break and going to TwitchCon, meeting all the fans and just seeing how fun it is. Having their support has really remotivated me," he said. "I know I'm ready to play again."

"I can't retire after something like this. I'm going to make sure that people remember why I was one of the best. Once I have a platform to stand on, I'll show them why I was one of the best."

Xpecial has not yet revealed his plans for the future, but he did Tweet that another more in-depth vlog is coming at a later date.
