Jin Air Green Wings receive invite to IEM San Jose

Korean squad Jin Air Green Wings will be participating in the Intel Extreme Masters San Jose after receiving a direct invite to the event, IEM announced today.

The Jin Air Green Wings finished sixth overall in the 2015 SBENU Champions Summer season, missing out on a playoff berth. Based on Championship points, they more recently qualified for the 2015 Korean Regional Finals, running the bracket all the way to the finals, but ultimately failed to qualify for the ongoing World Championship after losing 3-1 at the hands of KT Rolster.

The Green Wings join four teams from Europe and North America selected by fan vote, with voting for a Chinese participant also underway.

The current lineup for IEM San Jose is a follows:

  • Team SoloMid
  • Counter Logic Gaming
  • Jin Air Green Wings
IEM San Jose is set to run Nov. 21 and 22.
