Ilya "Shook" Hartsema will be Team Vitality's jungler, the organization announced Monday.

Shook left the Copenhagen Wolves in July after signing halfway through the Summer Split. Before their previous jungler, Karim "Airwaks" Benghalia, was let go from the team due to poor performance and team atmosphere, they had already lost six games in five weeks. Their back half with Shook wasn't much better, with only two more wins and eight losses, which left them automatically relegated.

In his five weeks playing for the Copenhagen Wolves, Shook averaged a 2.0 KDA, and mostly played Lee Sin, Rek'Sai and Elise, choosing each champion twice.

Before that, Shook played jungler for Elements through the 2015 EU Spring Split. The team finished the split in seventh place with a 7-11 record before they released Shook and two other players and moved Marcel "dexter" Feldkamp to their starting roster.

Shook was one of four players reported to be in talks with Team Vitality, along with Lucas-Simon "Cabochard" Meslet, Elrend "Nukeduck" Vatevik and Petter "Hjarnan" Freyschuss.

Team Vitality's current roster is as follows:

  • Ilyas "Shook" Hartsema
  • Raymond "kaSing" Tsang
