Following rumors that Immortals would be starting a Challenger Series team featuring Diego "Quas" Ruiz, Lecas "Santorin" Larssen, Hampus "Fox" Myhre, Pierre "Steelback" Medjaldi and Andy "Smoothie" Ta, the organization took to Reddit to clarify that they will not be pursuing a spot in the challenger series.

"We had thought about pursuing Challenger with something close to that roster, but won't be moving forward with it," a spokesperson for Immortals stated on Reddit. "Want to focus on some bigger stuff for this next split and we didn't feel like we had quite enough time to do Challenger right this time around."

The rumors surfaced after a Reddit user posted what he claimed was a conversation between Quas and Immortals CEO Noah Winston offering him a spot on the roster.

Immortals also stated on Reddit that they will not have "much roster drama" in the offseason.

They finished first in the regular season with a 17-1 record but were knocked out of the playoffs in the semifinals after a 3-0 loss to Team SoloMid.
