Jungler Jonas "Memento" Elmarghichi is the newest member of Team ROCCAT and will take over starting duties for the remainder of the split, the organization announced Tuesday.

Memento comes as a loan from Nerv, an EUCS team. He played the duration of the EU Challenger series summer split, in which the team finished last. Memento played in all ten games and had a KDA of 2.3.

Before Nerv, Memento tried to qualify for the EUCS summer season in the qualifier with Low Priority, but was off the squad shortly after the team were eliminated in the group stage. During his time on Team Empire at the beginning of 2016, they took 2nd place in the LCL Spring season and Spring playoffs.

Team ROCCAT will be Memento’s first step into the LCS, though he joins the team currently at the bottom of the rankings headed into Week 7. ROCCAT’s starting jungle for the first six weeks has been Karim “Airwaks” Benghalia, who holds a 1.9 KDA after 24 games played.

The future for Airwaks is unclear. In a statement on Facebook, ROCCAT said, "We want to thank Airwaks for his tenure with ROCCAT." But the statement does not specify whether he will be moved to sub.

ROCCAT’s full roster is now:

  • Lee “Parang” sang-won
  • Jonas "Memento" Elmarghichi
  • Felix “Betsy” Edling
  • Pierre “Steelback” Medjaldi
  • Oh “Raise” Ji-hwan
  • Karim “Airwaks” Benghalia (Sub)
  • Simon “fredy122” Payne (Sub)
  • Vytautas “extinkt” Mėlinauskas (Sub)
