Imported Support will disband after NA Nexus Games following Tespa's ruling that active players on the eight Heroes Global Championship teams will not be eligible to compete in Tespa organized events, Imported Support player Austin "Shot" Lonsert announced Friday.

"So the Tespa announcement just came out that professional players need to decide on whether they want to play in Heroes of the Dorm or in the new Heroes Global Circuit Blizzard announced for 2017," Shot said.

Earlier in September, Blizzard announced the Heroes Global Championship, an online league where the top eight teams from China, North America, Europe and Korea will compete in tournaments and receive regular compensation. The HGC is set to begin in 2017.

Tespa is the organizer for Heroes of the Dorm, a collegiate-level HotS tournament where teams compete for tuition. This year's edition featured a $500,000 prize pool, with the first place team, Arizona State, winning $75,000.

"3 out of 5 of the members on Imported Support go to Louisiana State University and will be participating in Dorms for their chance at college tuition," Shot continued. "I have all the faith in the world that my teammates can bring home that tuition and jump start their lives. Drated, HecarimJ, and Hoss, are all great players and will smash the Dorm competition."

"So with that being said, Nexus Games NA will be the last tournament that Imported Support will be playing in," Shot said. "After the tournament, regardless of results, we will be parting ways to pursue our two different paths. I am officially announcing my free agency and am going to be looking to start trying out for new teams. I am excited for the upcoming year for Heroes esports."

NA Nexus Games runs from Sept. 30 to Oct. 16, and features a $10,000 prize pool. Team Naventic, Astral Authority and Denial eSports will also be playing at the tournament.

Imported Support most recently finished in seventh/eighth place at the 2016 ESL North America Fall Regional Championship 2. Their roster is as follows:

  • Austin "Shot" Lonsert
  • Ben "Hoss" Hosford
  • FZIgnition
  • Drated
  • Hecarimj
