Danil "Zeus" Tselenko and Abay "HObbit" Khassenov have joined Gambit Gaming, the organization announced on Wednesday. Zeus will act as Gambit's captain and in-game leader, and is contracted to play for Gambit until the end of the 2017 season.

Zeus was a long-time member of Natus Vincere, originally joining in 2009 as part of their Counter-Strike 1.6 team. He stuck with the organization through the transition to CS:GO, taking over as in-game leader on the new roster. In August this year, he was pushed off their lineup in favor of new acquisition Oleksanry "s1mple" Kostyliev, while Denis "seized" Kostin replaced him as in-game leader.

"I am beginning a new path, since I won’t let go off my goals! I will share this path with Gambit Esports team!!!" Zeus said in a statement. "I know that many of my fans, acquaintances and friends were worried about me and my future career, therefore I hope that they will approve of my choice and will continue sincerely supporting me, this time as a part of a new roster!"

According to a second release put out by Gambit, HObbit is currently a temporary member of the roster and is on loan from Khazakhstani team Tengri for the next six months. Both HObbit and Zeus will be on Gambit's starting roster for the upcoming ELEAGUE Major in January.

"At the moment Abay is one of the brightest talents of Kazakhstani Esports scene, he has lots of potential and a premise to make a name for himself," Gambit CEO Konstantin "groove" Pikiner said in a press release. "I was born and raised in Kazakhstan, therefore it is an honour for me to welcome my countryman to our ranks."

Zeus and HObbit are replacing Dmitry "hooch" Bogdanov and Ivan "spaze" Obrezhan. Gambit demoted spaze to a substitute position with the team in September, citing attitude issues during training. hooch announced he was leaving Gambit earlier this month, though no specific reason was given for his departure.

Zeus and HObbit's first tournament with Gambit will be at ESWC in Paris.
