Michael Phelps to present esports player award at the Game Awards

U.S. Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps, will present the best esports player award at The Game Awards 2016, Geoff Keighely announced on Twitter Tuesday.

The nominees for the best esports player award are SK Telecom T1's Lee "Faker" Sang-hyeok, SK Gaming's Marcelo "Coldzera" David, Team expert's Woo "ByuN" Byun-Hyun, Team Razer's Lee "Infiltration" Seon Woo and Team Liquid's Juan "Hungrybox" Debiedma. The award will be given to the person with the most fan votes as of Thursday, Dec. 1, the day of the awards ceremony.

Other esports-related categories at The Game Awards 2016 include best esports team and best esports game, though it is unclear who will present those awards.
