COGnitive Gaming, an org that entered esports in 2013, will be ceasing its operations at the end of the year according to a statement posted to social media on Monday.

COGnitive has fielded teams in esports ranging from Heroes of the Storm to Smite in its two years of existence. However the final player on its roster, Super Smash Bros. Melee player and speed runner, Justin "Wizzrobe" Hallet, confirmed to ESPN Esports' Daniel Lee earlier Monday that he would not be re-signing with COGnitive.

In addition to Wizzrobe, the org also sponsored SSB Melee legend Jacob "Mew2King" Zimmerman in 2015, however he later signed with Echo Fox. The org's entire Heroes of the Storm roster parted ways with the team in May after a Top 4 finish at DreamHack All-Stars Austin.
