Braxton "swag" Pierce will be standing in for Cloud9 at cs_summit, according to an announcement on social media.

swag, along with six others, was permanently banned from Valve events in 2015 after a match-fixing scandal at CEVO Season 5. After his ban, he became a streamer for Cloud9.

Though swag cannot compete in events sponsored by Valve, David “LD” Gorman told Slingshot Esports' Jarek "DeKay" Lewis that they had decided to allow swag to compete as cs_summit is not a Valve event.

According to DeKay's report, swag will be standing in for Tyler "Skadoodle" Latham who was hospitalized last month. While Skadoodle returned to C9's starting roster on March 23, DeKay says the AWPer is still "recovering after complications from a routine surgery last month."

cs_summit will take place April 20-23 in Los Angeles.
